1. NOC 43100 – Elementary and Secondary School Teacher Assistants

Role Overview: Teacher assistants support students and assist teachers with both instructional and non-instructional tasks, including behavior management and personal care.

2. NOC 42203 – Instructors of Persons with Disabilities

Who Qualifies for the Education Category in Express Entry?

To be eligible, applicants must have at least six months of full-time, continuous work experience (or equivalent part-time experience) within the last three years in one of the listed occupations. This experience can be gained inside or outside Canada.

Additionally, candidates must meet the general Express Entry eligibility criteria, which include having at least one year of skilled work experience in the past three years.

Can I Qualify with Experience Outside Canada?

Yes! As of March 13, 2025, candidates who have accumulated at least six months of experience in an eligible occupation, whether inside or outside Canada, can apply under this category. However, IRCC regulations may change, so it’s crucial to stay updated on the latest immigration policies.
