As the vaccination rate is going higher, Canada has begun easing down the travel restrictions. Fully vaccinated travellers no longer need quarantine for two weeks. Unless randomly selected, there is no requirement for test upon arrival. “Fully vaccinated” is defined as if the final dose is taken 14 days prior travelling. Health Canada approves vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca and Janssen.
Despite of everything, quarantine is still required at the border. Also, the hotel quarantine ends on August 09,2021, in which travellers have to pay to stay in a government approved hotel. Being a student, two things are required to come to Canada:
- Approved study permit or letter of introduction.
- Enrollment in a designated learning institution that has a Covid-19 readiness plan.
Direct flights from India are banned until August 21. Although indirect route could be an option, but will require a pre-departure Covid-19 test from a third country before coming to Canada.
