There are a lot of ways by which we can make Canada as our home like Economic-class, family-class immigration, study or there are work permit options as well.
Every year tons of thousands of people migrate to Canada in order to get good quality of life, better education or for economic stability.
Talking about the economic class immigration, more than 100 economic-class immigration programs come under this like Express-entry, Provincial Program and others.
As the pandemic has created a backlog in application, it is really important to keep in mind that the time being posted by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on its website may differ. In terms of cost, the IRCC website will provide you every information related to the processing fee but there are some hidden costs like medical fee or your language test fee which will not be mentioned over there.
Moving on to the pathways by which Indians can immigrate to Canada are:
- Express Entry
This pathway is the most popular one. It is an online system in which three immigration programs are being managed like the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal skilled program. If you are eligible in any one of these programs then you have top submit your application in Express Entry pool and your filed will be picked if you have the score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). You get points of your education, age, language ability in English, whether you or your spouse have a blood-relation and experience. The person who has the highest score receives the invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residency through regular rounds of invitation.
- Provincial Nominee Program
PNPs are developed by the provinces and territories of Canada, and the major goal is to support the regional labour market challenges. Except Nunavut and Quebec, all other provinces and territories of Canada participate in this program. In this you receive 600 additional CRS points and this may push you to the top of the pool and there are chances that you will receive the ITA very soon.
- Study and then work in Canada
This is the best and the most convenient way if someone wants to settle in Canada. Recent survey has shown that almost half of the Indian students who came to Canada in order to study received their permanent residency within five years. However, the fee that has to be paid by the international student is significantly high but while studying you can even work for 20 hours per week, in your breaks full-time and after completing your studies you can even get PGWP that is post graduate work permit.
- Canadian Work permits
This will give you chance to work in Canada by getting the LMIA that is Labour Market Impact Assessment. Labor Market Impact Assessment or LMIA is usually long and is approved by Service Canada to eligible applicants. However, Canada also has some trade agreements that allow citizens of certain countries to work in Canada without an LMIA.
- Family sponsorship
Canada allows its citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their family members like spouse, common-law partner, parents or grandparents. So, in this way also you have the chance to migrate to Canada.
