EMPLOYERS FACING DIFFICULTIES IN HIRING SKILLED IMMIGRANTS IN ATLANTIC CANADA

Due to population crisis in Atlantic Canada, hiring a skilled and relevant employee for a particular job position is quite challenging for crisis for employers. Atlantic Canada is deprived of applicants with the necessary experience or skills. Atlantic Canada consists of the four easternmost provinces in Canada- New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Gladly, employers of Atlantic Canada possess positive impression in hiring international students and immigrants. Employers define immigrants and international students as "hard working, skilled and reliable." Although, they find difficulties in hiring but they are keenly interested in hiring the immigrants.

To overcome, government, employers and learning institutions have been coming up with new recommendations. The Canadian federal government launched the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) in 2017, after which there shows an increase in the population of immigrants.
